Viviana Burbridge es argentina y reside en Buenos Aires.
Aprendió a dibujar con su padre -gran caricaturista autodidacta- y luego de graduarse en la Universidad como Psicóloga comenzó a incursionar en el mundo de las artes plásticas. Estudió investigación de técnicas alternativas en artes plásticas con el maestro Antonio Blagonic y pintura con el maestro Antonio Chiavetti, escenografía en la Universidad del Salvador y en la Escuela de Saulo Benavente y Gastón Breyer, y Dirección de Cine y Televisión en el Cievyc.
Realizó miniaturas escultóricas en plata, diseñó y modeló en cera una colección de joyas para Giovanna de Firenze.
Comenzó a realizar los muñecos investigando la figura humana y su expresión a través del gesto, la postura y el movimiento desde el punto de vista de la imagen visual. Actualmente realiza piezas únicas cuyas medidas oscilan entre los 14 y 22 cm. Comienza modelando la cabeza, busca en la pasta de modelar que ella misma prepara -según antiguas fórmulas europeas que le enseñara su maestro Blagonic-- el carácter escondido de cada personaje, se abre al diálogo sin palabras - visual, táctil, sensible - y traduce el mensaje en formas y en colores, en sombreros y vestimentas que el mismo personaje va indicando. "Una vez comenzado el juego, sólo es cuestión de desentrañar mirando, sintiendo en mis dedos que detrás de cada trozo de masa hay algo más, el alma de un marioneta que no precisa hilos, ni una voz prestada y ajena, porque habla por sí misma, a través de su imagen.
"El universo de sus miniaturas -caricaturescas, teatrales, juguetonas- está poblado de soldados de todas las épocas, bailarinas, hombres del campo argentino, porteños tangueros, personajes de la Comedia del arte, del Carnaval veneciano, músicos y bufones.

Viviana Burbridge was born in the Lobos City, Buenos Aires, Argentina. It lened to draw with his father - great self-taught caricaturist- and after graduating in The University as Psychologist began to explore in the world of the fines arts. It studied investigation of alternatives techniques in arts with the teacher Antonio Blagonic and painting with the teacher Antonio Chiavetti, stage scene in the University Of the Salvador and the School of Saulo Benavente and Gastón Breyer, and Cinematographic and TV Direction in Cievyc.
In the 80' years it made sculptural silver sterling, and designed and modelled in wax a jewel collection for Giovanna de Firenze.
It began to make marionettes investigating the human figure and its expression through the gesture, the position and the movement from the point of view of the visual image.At the moment it makes unique pieces whose measures oscillate between the 5, 5" and 8, 6". It begins modelling the head, it looks for in the paste to model that she herself prepares - according to old European formulas that his Blagonic teacher taught to him -- the hidden character of each personage, it is opened to the dialogue without words - visual, tactile, sensible - and translates the message in forms and colours, in hats and clothes that the same personage is indicating.
